Hi,

Is this possible and has anyone tried this? I am in the process of buying an Ipad 3/4 depending on the budget.

Thank you.

I doubt it is possible. Either spring for the 3G version, use your phone as a hotspot or buy a wifi hotspot modem like the R205.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Answer, NOPE! It is only able to be used with cameras and USB sticks. Maybe with a Jailbreak - but I wouldn't count on it.

spring for an iPad 4G version as it also has the GPS chip, I didn't regret spending the extra money for a second, also you don't have to remember to keep multiple devices charged.

The difference between a 4G and Wi-fi only version is $200

A R208 is $199 so bugger all difference.

Also the Ipad 4 should be ready for LTE speeds when they become available.
