Hi Guys,

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but will ask just in case someone knows about it.

Is there anyway to recover your iPhone backup password if you have lost it / don't remember? I have a friend that is moving from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 and yeah sadly he isn't very Tech savy.

So I just wanted to know. I saw there is brute force ways etc but that will take ages.

Any suggestions will be awesome.

Cheers.

Why not just delete the backup file from the computer and then "re backup" the phone before changing it??

Once you have already set the backup with password it remembers that setting somehow on the phone. I installed ITunes on my laptop which never before had it and plugged the phone and did a backup. That new backup had a password.
