Hi all,

I prefer using chrome on my ipad mainly as I like typing searches into address bar (though the pdf issue does drive me bananas!).  However I run into problems when reading stuff with my morning coffee.  The pages load and seem to be completed but then chrome throws up and error page.  Doesn't happen if I use safari on same pages.
Rather annoying as it usually does it by the time I've read halfway down the page.  Hit back button and then read fast before it does it again.  Is it a settings thing that I can sort out or a chrome idiosyncrasy that I will have to live with?

Cheers

Martyn

Ipad app on Stuff started out great, but from the first update it has seen a huge run of crash and hanging issues. CHeck out the reviews in app store.

I just have a wallpaper shortcut set up to the stuff full site in Safari, No probs

The Stuff app is hopelessly slow and frequently crashes (read the poor feedback on iTunes), and the website often also has problems. I have noticed this is especially so the last couple of days.

Like Yogi02 says... set up a shortcut icon on the desktop via safari linking to the webpage (full site). Most reliable option I have found, and gives access to way more content.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I have a lot of problems on NZ news sites with my iPad 1. Have been meaning to ask if other models are better.

NZ Herald is ok, Stuff is not bad on Safari but at various times has been problematic.

My local hbtoday.co.nz is a crash-fest as is the sister, Bay of Plenty news site.

Tried Chrome but seems to trip up more than Safari but they are basically the same engine anyway, I believe.

Overseas sites such as BBC, NY Times are fine.
