When I went into settings via this

- Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations > OFF

with info from http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/19/ios-7-battery-life-fix/

my iPhone 5 locks ups.  Requiring a power-off and restart to get it working again.

I can not set this OFF

Why not just leave it on?

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

that is not really the point. If it was meant to be on all the time they would not give you the option. My wife has an iPhone 5 but we have not been keen enough to make the jump ios 7 yet

I tried it on my iPhone 5, and it works without issue.

Because consuming 10% of the battery in 15 minutes sucks.

Strangely, I'm not experiencing this and I have LTE and BT turns on as well...

I wish I knew your secret then, because I'm seeing phenomenal battery drain to the point where my "mobile" phone basically has to be tethered to a computer to operate.
