Anyone notice that Apple has added 3D Flyover data in Maps for Christchurch? Looks awesome, and fairly recent too. Cathedral looks a bit sad as you twist it about.

Not terribly new. Still has some of the major towers present that have been gone for a while now

The google earth stuff is not the same. The ones for chch in Google Earth are "hand made" 3D models plonked on top of their real life locations. The Apple ones have been fashioned from actual flyovers from multiple angles and had every building, yes every house, every car and every tree in 3D. Google have done this for the likes of San Francisco but not chch.
