Downloaded it this morning and in a brief play - not a lot of differences at all.

It's fixed the stupid zoom thing 7 did to my lock screen wall paper. That's back to a normal, fitting size now.

You'll also be pleased know it fixed a bug that occurred when you had more than 10,000 unread emails in your mailbox. Like having more than 10,000 unread emails wasn't a signal of big problems on its own!

Oh i love this! Some things feel oh so so smooth now. One of them is pinching back to the home screen on the iPad

According to a post I saw on another forum, the red badge now changes to "Seriously?" if you have that many.

Updated the iPhone 4 we keep in the office as a loan phone - significantly faster. The reduce motion setting now affects a lot more of the UI, & the return of button backgrounds is extraordinarily welcome, as their absence was (IMO) the most confusing & frustrating part of iOS 7. Looking forward to updating the iPad when I get home tonight.

NikT: ... the return of button background...

What is this? I'm curious about this but can't figure out where this is.

See Apple's changelog:

  • Accessibility

    • Bold font option now includes the keyboard, calculator, and many icon glyphs
    • Reduce Motion option now includes Weather, Messages, and multitasking UI animations
    • New options to display button shapes, darken app colors, and reduce white point

If you recall the shape of the boxes behind, e.g. back buttons in iOS 6, and their becoming plain blue text with no box in iOS 7, the box is now (optionally) back in the form of a darker grey shape behind the blue text in 7.1. Makes the UI considerably easier to navigate since it's now obvious what is & is not a button.

Noticed a few changes to some buttons but otherwise 'meh' on a 5S.

Hopefully the improvement for print-ID feature will make it a bit more consistent...time will tell.

And the issue with Authenticated http proxies is still there

I turn off wifi at work as IOS forgets the password and brings up a dialog box hundreds of times
a day asking for my log and pass.

The slide to unlock has a slightly different animation now. The shutdown slider is different too. Mine seems to take longer to wake up after pressing the home button now

Does anyone else use a Bluetooth keyboard, and if so does it take 2-3 times as long to wake from sleep now?
