IMO I'm not sure its published as factual, its just published as quoting supply chain sources and has not be confirmed or denied by the actual suppliers. Its a rumour which I think the article shows with the following statements.

"supply chain sources say."
"said the sources, who asked not to be identified."
"Representatives for the three suppliers and for Apple declined to comment."

Yeah I guess if one reads beyond the title headline yes it suggests the headline is non factual
