So I have an Iphone6+ that I got "second hand" only by 24 hours, but second hand none-the-less.

My question is how do I get AppleCare+ on this phone?

I am interested in it as insurance for droppage rather than the extended warranty, however that is a plus!

I have searched online but there is nothing specific about doing this, just that you can add is upto 30 days from the purchase date.

I am sure that on the Apple website when you checked your warranty status it showed an option to add AppleCare if you were inside this period.

See how far you can progress through these pages with your own account details. If it looks promising then you probably just need an AppleCare activation code.

In the past I've had AppleCare send out to me, they give you a little slip of paper with a code on it, you enter that and your serial into a website.

I've added it to laptops I have bought from others.

As long as the original 12 month warranty is still in play all you need is the serial number for those - I assume phones are the same.

60 days for phones, according to Apple's site, but I suspect that other than that it works the same way.
