I noticed this morning that on my iPhone (5s) location based reminders were no longer available after upgrading to iOS 8.0, even though they were still working on the iPad Air, also on 8.0. I've just updated the phone to 8.0.2 and the option is back again. Just thought I would mention that here, as I find it extremely useful while driving to use Siri to remind me to do something when I get to work or when I get home.

One of my coworkers was having trouble with time-based reminders too, but 8.0.2 appeared to fix that. I did a timed reminder yesterday with 8.0.2 and it worked correctly.

I should probably try location-based ones again; I stopped using them back in maybe iOS 6.1 when it gave me the reminder five minutes before I got to my destination, and then I forgot to do it when I got there! Hopefully that's been fixed.

When you set a location, you can manually edit the location to increase or decrease the size of the fence. Assuming GPS is on, you can set a fairly small fence and still have it work. I believe it defaults about 100m radius.

Thanks; I didn't know that, although I certainly wasn't within 100 m so I'm not sure whether that was the reason or not.

I've got a 5S and it hasn't stopped working with any version of iOS 8.

Yeah, my ipad was fine even after the upgrade, just not the phone.

You don't have reminders turned on in an Exchange account do you? Location based reminders only work in the iCloud account.

No, I only use those on iCloud. Came right after 8.0.2...
