Got the new iPhone 6, fire it up and discovered the app store is not working....sort of.

The Top Charts, Explore, search and update are all fine. However when I go to Featured, it show "Item Not Available - the item you've requested us not currently available in the New Zealand Store, but it is available in the U.S. Store. Tap Change store to view this item"

When I tap change store. it took me to itunes store....

I checked my apple ID and the country/Region did set to New Zealand. However, when I request the feature page from app store, it thinks I am requesting something from US store.

All my app are downloaded from NZ store, dont have anything from US app store.

I went back to my old iPhone 5 App store and it was fine.

Any ideas? thanks in advance.

My 6 is not doing this, but my girlfriends 6+ may have done something like this last night (just got it yesterday). I'll check tonight when I get home.

Yes I think mine did to - have you turned off and back on??  I did that and also updated to 8.2 as well and mine is working fine now.

PS also 8.2 is quite buggy where apps have frozen, btooth wont connect, Wi-Fi wont connect.  A power off and back on has fixed mine.  Once all the bugs are ironed out and the apps are updated for ios 8 things should be better.  Its prob the worst software release Apple has done and seems to be a rushed job.

Hi All,

I've upgraded to 8.02 and it fixed the problem now.

Or if you are like me and don't want to update to iOS 8.0.2. I switched the Store to US and then back to NZ, and that fixed it for me.

  • Open Settings, and go to “iTunes & App Stores”
  • Tap on the Apple ID and enter the associated password.
  • Choose “Country/Region” and select the new country to associate the account with.

My girlfriends 6+ is on 8.0.2 and is doing this. I'll try switching to the US store and then back to NZ.
