Hey guys,

I got an IPad Mini the other day and have been trying to send some Photos from my Laptop to it Via Bluetooth, but have had no luck (even though both devices recognize each other apparently).  So I signed up for a free basic 5GB iCloud account.

Now I installed iCloud on the Laptop (Windows 7), and uploaded a couple of photos to the iCloud drive.

The question is, how do I access the iCloud drive on the iPad Mini?  Everytime I go to icloud on Safari, it keeps bringing up a "Setup iCloud on your Device" page which has the options of Ipad, Mac and Windows.

When I click on iPad, it just gives me the instructions on how to turn on icloud, which I have already done..

It's quite confusing!  any help would be awesome.

-Hamish

So you want to look at the photos on your iPad? just go to the photos app and they should be there

Do you have the photo stream turned on in the icloud settings?

My Photo Stream: On
iCloud Photo Sharing: On

It's weird eh?

It looks like I should see 'Photo Stream' in the Photos App, but I only see Photos and Album 'Recently Added' and 'Recently Deleted'

They changed it all in iOS 8 and it looks like they just chuck all the photos in the photos tab. that's where they are on my devices, so they're not there for you?

And if the betas are any indication then it's reverting to the old way in 8.1. I've seen a lot of posts from confused people recently so it looks like Apple's doing a U-turn!

How do I access the iCloud 'Drive' through the iPad anyway?

I keep getting that stupid 'setup icloud on this device' page when I go to www.icloud.com in Safari.

Settings -> iCloud, rather than doing it in Safari?

Sort of, but the first part about setting it up / activating it, i've done all that.

The second part about actually using it, doesn't give any info, only on apps that support it.   I can't even get into the drive on the Pad.
