I work for Vodafone and over the last few days, I've noticed quite a few customers (mostly from overseas) have inserted new Vodafone SIMs into their iPhone 6s and the carrier has displayed at "vodafone NZ" rather than the usual "Voda NZ" which has always displayed on iPhones on Vodafone NZ. I'm not the only one who has seen this, and apparently some users of other iPhones (previous models purchased in NZ) also display "vodafone NZ" rather than "Voda NZ".
I'm just really curious about why this is, and if there is a way to change it? Obviously the 6 and 6 Plus have larger displays, so with this extra space it makes sense for the carrier name to display in full. I've looked through all the settings and can't seem to find a way to change anything. If anyone else has noticed this, and knows why this might be and how it can be changed, I'd really like to know!
