they are crap.  They will always be crap because there is no active digitiser on an iPad, currently.

I have used a Wacom 'Bamboo' stylus on my iPad, periodically for years and it's great:

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

this is a good point - what does the OP want to use the stylus for?

If its for emulating a finger, that Bamboo is great

If its for handwriting, drawing, equations, sketching, annotating, markup etc any device with an active digitiser will be miles better

I use a cheap rubber-tipped one that my kids bought me fro Smiggle and to be honest, it's as good as a finger...which is good enough for me.

Good point what do i want it for

I only want it to be able to sit on desk and write notes that then get saved to my evernote or onenote
but its got to be
write the note press send
otherwise its not worth it
so i presume there has to ab a certtain clarity to the writing so that the ocr or whatever is used today can work

get an Android or a Windows Tablet with an active digitiser if you want to do handwriting/note taking IMHO

I use all 3 ecosystems on tablet, and iPad is easily the worst for this because of the lack of digitiser

Not so sure about the funny twist in the stylus, but I guess they need a gimmick or two to justify the price

Anything about iPads and styli put me in mind of the incredible Morgan Freeman image created with Adobe's free Ideas app
