Well if you have ever used iTunes, you will know that it has the ability to share your entire library over your network. Now, picture that with an iPod touch. Anywhere within range of your home wifi and everything is there. That would be...awesome.

Hang on - so if I have a whole bunch of .avi video files, I can convert them to mpeg4, load them into itunes and then access them via an ipod touch anywhere within my network range?

EDIT - sorry, forgot to ask - can this be done via a PC as opposed to a Mac as per the link in the previous post?

If there was a way to make this happen... wow... sold!!!

With the latest Eyetv, it setups a server and you can access all your recordings and apparently iTunes library using wifi with safari.

It does too! I hadn't even noticed this. Eye TV stores a reduced-resolution H.264 version of the file ready to be streamed...
