I'm in the market for a 128GB iPhone 6. But...as they always bring out a 's' model, would it be prudent to wait and get that or just go for the current model now?

And if now, what's the best place to buy? I'm loath to go Tme as ppl bloat the prices there and I want to buy outright and not with a plan.

Appreciate your views/advice.
Cheers

I suppose the question is how long do you wait wait for the 6s then do you wait for the iphone 7 and so on, we are still quite early in the release cycle, and does the iphone 6 fulfil the requirements? if you are going to buy outright then apple.co.nz is the way to go, not sure if they are selling outright instore yet.

Buy direct from apple.

Personally I always upgrade on the S modal as it usually has a new feature or two over the first edition - i.e. touch ID on the 5S.

I guess it depends on what you have now and whether you can wait - its maybe a year away for the 6S?

I will be upgrading my iPhone6+ to the iPhone6S+, or is that iPhone6+S???

I find my phone a little on the slower side compared to my iPhone5 was, I put this down to the larger screen etc.

The 6S+ will likely get a faster processor and some tweaks.

If you are not going on a plan buy from Apple it will be with you in 1-2 days anyway.

Why not wait until the 7? or the 7s? they will have more features than the current 6 and 6+.

I am sure the iPhone 8S will be a nice one. ;)

There will always be something better coming out next year, so safest bet is to keep waiting and waiting and ...

But seriously, if you need a new phone now - get one. If not, wait until the next one comes out. The worst time to buy an iPhone (psychologically) is right before a new one is dropped, because you are probably going to be hit with buyers remorse.

To go off topic a little: I was waiting for the new Mac Mini to come out (want the i7 version), and that proved to be a mistake this year. The new model has a dual core instead of a quad core processor, and soldered on RAM. So the old i7 (2012 model) is now selling for a good chunk of money... So it dosen't always pay to wait..

Hey if you have waited that long you might as well wait a few more months if it is easier on your budget

Otherwise think of it another way, if you got hit by a bus tomorrow would you regret not having owned it?
