Hello,
The story goes like this:
Tuesday gone dropped the phone off at the repair place due to the screen lifting and separating from what's below it. Went back the next day to be shown the reason that the screen was lifting - a bulging ready to blow battery. So a new battery as well as a screen replacement.
Back the next day to pick up the phone, got it home to find it wont charge at all. Take it back the next day to be repaired again, phone call later on to say it was on its way to the nearest Apple repair place. Turned out to a blown charging port. Got the phone back to me yesterday all good to go with all new parts.
Turn the phone on, all good but notice that the battery needs to be charged. Hello, no matter what cable or charger i use the phone will not charge. Plus i couldn't get the home screen back up. The screen then showed the cable pointing to the iTunes symbol so i hook it up to the laptop and nothing happened with or without iTunes on. Tried the home button/on switch press to reset and got the Apple symbol etc. From there nothing happened.
Now try turning it on all i get is the low battery and a cable pointing to it. Plug it into a charger (tried several plus different cables) and it recognises that it is plugged in due to the cable on screen going away but the battery doesn't charge. Remove the cable and the screen shows the cable again. Tried this numerous times plus trying the reset combo - nothing but the low battery on screen.
Sorry for the long-winded post, bloody frustrating. Not overly keen on taking it back for a third time but i suppose if i have to i have to. Other option was taking it to a reputable Apple approved repair person.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
