Apple has just released the new tvOS 9.1 update for the Apple TV 4.  Has a few bug fixes + improvements according to some sites.

My ATV4 required 4 restarts before home sharing worked .

Still can not get the "Remote" function on my iPhone to work.

Do you see it in the Remote app? Make sure you are using the same iTunes account for home sharing on both the AppleTV and in the Remote app.
