Hey guys, first time posting here but great forum... After an arduous google journey last night I managed to finally get my phone from 1.0.2 to 1.1.3 fully functioning with wifi, Vodafone NZ, Youtube etc STOKED!
However, I am still getting an error that may be hardware related. Almost every time I unlock my phone or unplug from the dock i get the message "This Accessory is not made to work with iPhone" when nothing is plugged in at all. This started when I was in Canada and accidentally left my iPhone on a pile of snow that melted overnight. I left to dry in front of the fire for two days and EVERYTHING works perfectly except I get this error periodically (once every 5-10mins during regular use).
Everything points to this being a hardware problem where maybe two circuits in the dock connector have been shorted... does this sound right? However, because this is obviously a jailbroken NZ operating iPhone no chance of warranty or whatever. It is quite inconvenient because it interrupts music and applications sometimes.
What do you guys reccommend is there a good, cheap iPhone repairer in Auckland area that might be able to help? Or is there a softfix that removes this message (ideal).
Thanks for your help, you guys are champs!

however, whatever you do, don't send anyone money online where they tell you to send them the iPhone (others have done this and found themselves out of pocket). At the end of the day if you are unable to go in somewhere and get it fixed you may have to either stick with it as it is or bite the bullet and try to sell it on line, then get yourself a new one.
