Has anyone come across any cases for the new iPad Pro 9.7 version yet (other than the Apple ones)?  Specifically after a folio style case that is not bulky.

I'm looking for the same thing. I was waiting for the Speck StyleFolio but despite Speck advertising it as for the iPad Pro, going by the reviews on Speck's site is just an iPad Air 2 case(it may fit but the cut-outs are in the wrong place).

Options are low at the moment, but PB Tech has this one available. Amazon have plenty that will ship directly to New Zealand. I have a 10-inch tablet "sleeping bag" that I got from The Warehouse which comes in very handy for new iPads while waiting for the cases to come out. It's like a puffer jacket, but lined with furry fleece. They're cheap, come in a range of colours (I'm a girly-girl so mine is hot pink) and they keep your iPad really well cushioned until you can get a decent case on it.

Been looking for a thread on these. How do you like the Pro 9.7? Especially interested in anyone using as an ereader and how good the True Tone is for that?

I ended up ordering one of these for around the house: http://www.luvvitt.com/accessories/apple/ipad-pro-9-7-case/luvvitt-clear-grip-soft-skin-tpu-rubber-back-cover-for-ipad-air-3-clear.html

And one of these for when I take my iPad away with me: http://www.amazon.com/ESR-Leather-Smart-Function-Release_Knight/dp/B01D06J4JS?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

The Luvvitt case will hopefully be shipping in the next couple of days directly to me.  The ESR case will also hopefully be shipping in the next couple of days, but for that one I had to go via YouShop.

I haven't really tested the True Tone with an ereader but with just text it should be good when reading b&w text later in the evening. I don't like it on when browsing or reading a magazine though...icky colours.

I was reading a lot of pdf magazines using Good Reader on an iPad 2 but turning the pages was annoying...a slight hesitation(sometimes a long one) which shows a bright background while rendering the next page(annoyingly blinding when reading in bed). I even compressed my magazines to improve rendering speed...no need now with the iPad Pro...smooth as :)

So while I can't really answer your question on ereaders if you're looking to read other formats it's great.

Satch what did the ESR cover end up costing all up?

I may end up needing the UAG case anyway as my iPad will spend a lot of time taken to work in a backpack. I have dropped my backpack and iPad 2(with a cover) and it still dented a corner.
