I have a number of iPhones (3-5's) which were returned to me by staff that have left the company, but none have been reset and/or removed from the users iCloud account, so I cant reactivate the phones to issue them to others. (And no, cant contact user anymore)

Last time I did one, I needed proof of purchase etc to send to Apple - but with a larger number, this could be a nightmare in trying to track down the paperwork in a timely fashion.... has anyone had a bulk lot of phones reset by Apple before without having to provide proof of purchase for each ?

TIA

Cue the "I told you so, you should have had a Mobile Device Management Policy and Infrastructure" in place...

Unfortunately with the unlock request to Apple there is no other way to do it without the original proof of purchase for each phone.

We're the staff told to use company email accounts for Apple ids? This would allow you to reactivate their email and 'reset' their Apple ID? They may also have used a work email for their backup/reset email too...

I wonder what the ethics are of claiming an Apple ID that they may have bought personal content on though...?

Unfortunately too late for you but.

I used to set up all our iPhones with the apple ID's linked back to the users work account and record the password on a spreadsheet along with all the details of the phones, the company policy was that any purchase on the phones belonged to the company, if they were work related they were usually reimbursed for them otherwise tough!

Guess you have to do the hard slog!

All these were purchased and issued before I started with the company :( Going forward I'll be asking staff to use their staff email address, but this will only work for new staff, old staff getting new phones will stick with what they know and probably have purchases on their accounts.....
