Without going into detail of the problem I have with an Apple product I purchased, I have been unable to get it resolved via their normal channels. I asked to speak to someone from Apple New Zealand, rather than via their overseas call centre. I was told it wasn't possible. I asked for an email address, and they said there wasn't one. Instead they said I would need to write a letter, and I was given an Auckland address to send it to. So I did this, but after more than a month I still haven't had a reply, or an acknowledgement. I think that is  very poor service.  Has anyone been able to contact Apple NZ directly or know what their email address is?

Have you send a track/signature required courier so you know for sure they received it?

Sent it via normal mail which is probably more reliable than emailing. Never had a letter not get through that hasn't been returned to me. I guess I could send it again but don't really see why I should be paying just to contact them, as would using a courier. Pretty sure it was a po box in Auckland which couriers don't deliver to.

I presume it was to the office on Quay St or an PO box associated with it?

Unless things have changed in recent years I doubt you will have much luck there - the NZ team is more your back of house reporting / development etc so unlikely they would even know what to do with you letter except pass it on.

All the Apple 'care' side is/was run from Australia - I have never heard of someone not getting a reasonable request accepted via the Applecare team. Sometimes it can take a bit of persistence and linking/explaining the CGA etc but they normally come around if you won't go away.

Yup, your insistence on dealing with somebody in New Zealand is the cause of the delay. Just ask them what their escalation procedure is and follow it rather than going on some misguided belief that only a kiwi can help you.

What exactly is going on?

Perhaps I can help, or put you in touch with someone who can?

PM me the details if you like.

Presumably "Apple Sales NZ" is just like "Apple Sales International" in Ireland... a paper company created for the purposes of tax avoidance.
