What's the easiest way to do this? My Dad often doesn't notice he has a text messages, but he's very good with his emails. So I figure I may as well forward all incoming text messages to his email address.

At present he's not using iMessage. From my googling it looks like it can be achieved through iMessage, so will enable that if I have to. Alternatively, is there an app for IOS that will do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Sam - this isn't possible on iOS.

It would require third party apps having access to Messages, which is not allowed by Apple for security.

You could setup the notifications for messages to show on lock screen / repeat notification  etc to make the notifications more noticable though

Thanks for the quick reply. Bugger! I'll do what you've suggested and try retrain him as well.

Does he see his emails on a computer or something else? If it's a tablet you could get him a 12" samsung phablet ;p

Set the phone to repeat the message tone a few times might help too - under accessibility settings I think.

Yes he's on his computer and landline from 9 - 5. He works from home, so it's very easy for him to just leave his mobile in the bedroom for the day. He has an iPad, I think if I set up iMessage correctly, the text message will come into his iPad as well. I guess he could sit it on his desk and have it flash the message in front of him. Hopefully he'd notice that.

Thanks coffeebaron, I'll do that when I next get a chance.
