Just a quick question guys, I have already software hacked my 8gb which was pretty easy, however have 2 new 16gb arriving in a week, I have downloaded ZiPhone for OS X in preparation, However wanted to check how can I confirm it has 1.1.4 on it ... will ziphone tell me that once I run it with the new phone plugged in ... or will the serial number on the back tell me what BL and firmware it has? ...

Hi Abizmal,

I've posted comments all over this forum suggesting people stay away from ZiPhone for phones with the 4.6BL. Read these posts for more details:
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=76&TopicId=19705&page_no=2

[EDIT] Your phone will definitely have the 4.6BL and most likely have 1.1.4FW. Both tools (iPlus definitely) requires a fresh 1.1.4 FW so the first step you would take is a restore to 1.1.4 anyway [/EDIT]

I agree with you Piksel.

This message is more for others users (other than saying thank you very much Piksel for helping me out a couple of weeks ago [Aaron].)

You made this very easy.

Anyways, I previously unlocked my phone with Ziphone (on 1.1.3)
However, I do also recommend using iPlus vs. ZiPhone. Reason being it operates much better than ZiPhone IMHO.

Happy Hacktivating!
