He/she means the AirPods (wireless headphones).

They don't appeal to me in the slightest, I hate the design of the EarPods as they don't fit my ears at all. The old/original headphones were way better for me.

 Huh?

OP is referring to the Apple AirPods due to be released soon. They were announced with the iPhone 7.

They were announced a while ago, but are being released soon. Some reviewers got their hands on pre-production samples though, so there are videos and images of them and some pretty detailed reviews.

My wife hates those new style Apple ear things. She says they hurt her ears.

Indeed, when I re-boxed her iPhone 6 for sale last night after setting up her new 7 Plus, I found the original white earbuds in the box still wrapped in plastic etc!!

Agreed with those above, the shape of the apple earpods really seems about 10 years old.

If they redesigned them with a rubber/foam tip like most new earbuds so that they actually seal and hold into your ears I would be much more interested.

By most accounts the actual sound quality hasn't improved much if any over the standard wired earpods which are firmly in the lower end of the scale as far as sound quality goes.

I think I will give these ones a miss, maybe with a redesign next year?

I find the earpods fit me really, really well.

The old ones hurt my ears after 10 min in.

It seems strange that Apple, obsessed with Form over function, would design these so poorly.

Yeah it's odd, I definitely felt I was in the minority when I was less happy with the new design of the EarPods (wired), compared to the older headphones which fit my ears really well.

All the reviews that I saw were praising the new shape. I guess it completely depends on the size/layout of your ears!
