iPad Pro 12.9"- any knowledge of upcoming big discounts anywhere in Auckland soon?

It is not cheap. Need brand new for a gift in the next few days. Any whisper of where I can get is cheaper are highly appreciated.

The reality is big discounts just don't happen on iPads, especially on current models. You could look at the refurbished store on Apple's website, but otherwise use Pricespy to have a look around. Generally though it'll be a difference of a few dollars (i.e. less than $10) between stores, if they are choosing to offer any form of a discount, which in itself is usually only a few dollars off RRP.

Trademe. a lot of new unopened apple products there, sometimes for cheap. But it's right place right time sort of thing.

JB Hifi generally have a few dollars off but you aren't ever going to get hundreds less buying brand new.

Warehouse Stationery and PBTech both recently had 10% off iPads and that was a good deal.

It didn't include the iPad Pro however.

Discount and Apple don’t generally fall into the same sentence

Aware of PBTech - I missed that by one day. It was ~$200 discount on iPad Pro in all 3 colors. Hence was the question to the group. Will check WS tomorrow - to see if they still have the same deal.

The retailers make very little margin on Apple products
