Hi All

I have an apple TV 4 and apple TV 4K.

I read about the netflix app redesign and have seen this update on my Panasonic TV but I have not seen an update on apple TV.

I contacted Netflix but was told that they do not have control or visualization of the app on apple TV so I should contact apple.... really?

Do anyone have any information about this update.

Quite common - Apple control the 'look and feel' of Apps.

Can you still access Netflix. I recently bought a Mecool Pro W android box running the Google TV OS. Since Netflix updated their website have not been able to access Netflix and they advise they are aware of the problem and working on it. Has been over a week now with no access.

So the rollout may take some time?

Yeah, the app is still available and works fine, it is just not the latest redesign.  I like it on my Panasonic TV bit I want to use my appleTV.

Are you sure? That doesn't seem right, as Lightbox and Netflix are vastly different, as is Amazon Prime Video.

It might just be a case of the Netflix app update being in the approval queue at Apple.

OT but does anyone have a problem with Autoplay with the Apple TV Netflix app?

I've noticed the app will wait till all the credits have played before offering the next episode whereas the LG version offers the next episode a few seconds into the credits.

I haven't had this issue with the latest season of Orange is the new Black. It worked as it should.

I don't think Apple dictate the 'look and feel' of apps, but they do rigorously test them to ensure they meet their high security standards.  I can only guess that this process takes a bit longer than on other platforms.

Good point... maybe it has been released to Apple by Netflix.  Just a waiting game then.

That is not true, but I wish they would! The do reject apps that don't work properly, but not just based a different look and feel.

The YouTube app on Apple TV is terrible these days. Google should be ashamed of it.

I suspect Netflix haven't submitted the changed app to Apple yet, but it should flow through at some stage.
