Hi

I have just bought a 1st gen iphone 1.1.3 however how do I turn off edge data as I am wasting alot of money with it. I tried changing the APN to abc username and password to a blank but after a while vodafone.net.nz came back.

Look in installer.app for bossprefs

the APN is ignored on GPRS but

you can use www.iphone-vodafone.net.nz APN which is an iphone dataplan only which will fail as your not on a iphone specific dataplan so data is ignored :-)

its about the only way..

All I have is a blue icon that says installer but under the b's there is no mention of bossprefs
