I wish to livestream / facetime my sons taekwondo tournament to his mother who cannot make the tournament.

My iphone XS max has the rear 2x telephoto lens which is ideal to zoom in a bit closer to the action.

But, for the life of me, I haven't found out how to use the zoom camera during facetime (it defaults to wide angle rear camera with no switch and finger pinching doesn't work either).

I've also tried whatsapp, facetime messenger but nothing allows me to use the 2x zoom camera.

Anyone know of a good app for streaming live sports to another person that allows the rear 2x zoom camera to be selected?

Maybe all the apps haven't caught up with the hardware, but I would have thought IOS would have had that function in the latest version.

Dual cameras have been around for a while now, I find it strange that there is no app that offers the option.

I've searched a few now, none seem to allow the 2x camera selection .

Must be hard on the bleeding edge!! 😋  I'll put my iphone 7 back in my pocket.

I would have thought if they'd bought out the hardware, they would have added the function to the next IOS version, maybe it's too much of an edge case since facetime is predominately for calling (ie front camera)

OK, after much research, there is no app to do what I wish.

This would be ideal but costs too much...
