(EDIT: I have updated this post with a little more context).

https://www.health.com/condition/cancer/bluetooth-wireless-headphones-cancer

https://www.menshealth.com/health/a26809302/scientists-warn-wireless-headphones-could-cause-cancer/

An article was published on Medium on 7 March 2019, suggesting 200 scientists across 40 countries had signed a declaration warning about the risk to human health from devices that use non-ionizing radiofrequency. LIKE airpods and wireless headsets. The original declaration was from 2015, but one of the signatories above created the medium article, and it hit the headlines across the world, amped up by the wonderful clickbait potential of the headline "airpods cause cancer". The local NZ publications dutifully picked up on it and created articles of their own.

I've already noticed there are a few more articles emerging that the article was skewed in what was reported. Below is just one:

https://qz.com/1572885/the-truth-behind-claims-airpods-cause-cancer/

I am interested in what community views, hence why I ask the question... although of course there is always risk when posting late at night without taking the time to frame detail, which is on me and noted.

I'm sure there's a warning label on them advising they could cause California in the state of Cancer, it depends on what you think about Bluetooth, and general EMF really. If you are allergic to WiFi, you're probably allergic to airpods.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

did you know toast is also a cancer risk? granite benchtop also a cancer risk. breathing air in a traffic jam. flying in a plane. I'd be more worried about sausages before I worry about earpods. but then again I don't use earpods.

An old friend of mine said “everything gives white mice cancer”.

In saying that, I haven’t read the linked articles and don’t have anything else to contribute.

Edited - spelling

Try as I might, I don’t seem to be able to keep the sausages from falling out of my ears!
