Im considiring jailbreaking my 3g iphone, will this void warranty???? Is there anypoint to jailbreak due to the sdk anymore???

I have and I think it has been worth it. There is a certain satisfaction from circumventing Apple's attempts to restrict what I can and cant do on a device I own and paid a helluva lot of money for Laughing !

I've added some additional applications which will never be available on the AppStore including some good ones which give access to settings not otherwise available (ability to turn data on/off, change look and feel via backgrounds and icons, etc), gaming emulators, etc.

If you're at least slightly technically minded (or can at least follow instructions available on the web), have a bit of spare time, and are willing to take a small and calculated risk, then I say go for it.
