hi guys, i am new here, i am going to buy a 3G iphone for my dad as a gift of Father day this sunday. before that i need some advise from you.
1. my dad is not very good at computer thing,  and he won't use 3G to browse web from phone. so what function i should close for him before i give him, so he won't receive huge bill at end of each month. and WIFI is free to use.(maybe this is really stupid to ask)
2.please let me know after i buy iphone, what most thing i should do. like what to download in computer, and software? i just wanna give to my dad, and he doesnt need to do anything, just have fun to use it.
3. if he won't use 3G, is that mean 1st gen iphone is enough. and where i can buy 1st iphone in new zealand. 
sorry to ask so many stupid questions, cos iphone seems really complicated to me. any information appreciated.
