Apple TV 4k

Since last week our TVNZ app wont play today's 6pm news. Plays yesterdays, plays other programs, but not the recently completed news bulletin. Message reads "Something went wrong. We can't find that show. Try again later". Was working fine until about a week ago.

I have updated the AppleTV to the latest TVOS (14.0.2), and deleted then re-installed the TVNZ app. Same deal.

Anyone else with this problem, or a fix for it?

My brother also mentioned to me today that his Apple TV no longer plays programmes from TVNZ On Demand. He said the commercials will play preceding the selected show, but not the show itself. Think he said he just gets spinning arrow.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

What time are you trying to watch it- before the original broadcast has ended?

Have had a few problems with the TVNZ app on ATVHD. i.e. ads getting stuck, asked to login again, login credentials incorrect etc. All after tvOS 14 updates

I've noticed this problem too. It works later in the evening some time after the broadcast has finished.

I also have an ATV 4 (non 4k version) and it doesn't have the same problem.

We're now watching TV3 news instead which works fine.

Might be related or not, noticed that until about 11ish, there are two versions of the news on on demand.

One is just the news and stays active, the other expires about 11 and includes last bit of the chase and cuts off last bit of news, don’t know if it’s always been like that though.

I still cannot play tv1 news until sometime after it finished broadcasting.

Others still have this issue?

When I click the tvnz news , I get "Something went wrong we can't find that show please try again later".

I can watch it live OK, but, cannot rewind to the start.

Ditto - Apple TV4K TVNZ Ondemand app does not let you stream the news by VOD until the news is finished. This is annoying as this was one of the best features of the app.

Interestingly, on other IOS devices using the TVNZ app you can still start playback by VOD mid way through broadcast.
