I’m after an app for the iPad where I can quickly sketch the dimensions of a room, and then add premeasured shelves/furniture to it in order to see how much room they take up. Is there such a thing? Or am I best just sticking to pen and paper?

if it helps I’m sizing up a portion of the garage in order to display some things, and don’t really want move things around manually in order to see how much more room I will need.

thanks

I've used https://floorplanner.com/ its web based, so you can access it on whatever device. The free version had enough features for our purposes, ie designing the layout of a single room.

Magic plan uses your camera to “measure” a room. Works fairly well

+1 for Floorplanner.  I looked at a few free options to play with models (2D and 3D) of our new house and settled on Floorplanner.  Not a huge learning curve was the key for a simple mind like mine!!

Thanks for the suggestions, wound up starting with the magic plan App as it’s free and I’m a tightarse lol.

easy to use and able to add furniture to it etc, might have a bash with the others as well later tonight.

thanks!
