Apple's US store seems to have decent pricing on a refurbished Iphone 11 Pro: Iphone 11 Pro Refurbished

Thinking of purchasing one and shipping to a mate who can then courier to me.

Anyone else had any experience purchasing from this store and know if there's any issues shipping these to NZ ? Assume would need to pay GST and duties?

Thanks

I've never bought from the US Apple store, but have bought genuine Apple refurbs from the NZ store.

Always good, as good as new (sometimes better with lower failure rates) and all external parts are "as new" - i.e. either replaced or unblemished/unused.

You may have issues with cellular bands, in particular with 4G (but also perhaps 5G).

I purchased my last iPhone in Hawaii and had zero issues (in cities - as expected) but when I went to my rural parents - no service.

Just something to be aware of, otherwise no issue.

The link you provided is the US store - there are no iPhones left in the NZ store at the time of this post.

Yep. I’m looking to buy it from the US store since no refurbished iPhones in the NZ store at the moment

No band 28 on the American or Chinese variant. You will get shipped a A2160 not the A2215 that the rest of the world has.

Nope decided against it because of the band issue.
