Googling for the answer to this is a mixed bag. I’ve purchased an AirTag but find devices on my Apple Watch doesn’t show the AirTag at all. Is that normal?

The closest help I could find is that you can use the watch to find your AirPods but nothing specifically about AirTags. It’s on the latest updates.

At a guess, does it depend on the watch version? A watch with no 3/4G might also depend on a paired phone for some services. Do your other devices show up in find my on the watch?

Yeah all devices show except for the AirPod.

It’s a non-esim watch.

You need to use a different app to find the Airtags. Its the "find items" app. It has a green icon with four circles on it.

Here is the support page on Apple.com

I can see my AirTag under "Find Items" - Green circle with 4 dots. I can only play sound and see on a map. Apple watch 6, latest watchOS.
