So wife on iphone 13 latest ios, got a text message saying parcel received, clicks on link.

Opens a website that is a phishing site.

I have heard that on android you can click a link on sms and it can download malware in the background and then you lose all your money in your bank account.

So I asked her to scan the phone line you can run a malware scan on a PC.

But it turns out you can't do that on an iPhone.

Any ideas what to do next?

If this was the recent phishing alert providers sent out warnings for, then I recall that iPhones were not affected at the time.

Tell wife not to open random web links unless absolutely 100% sure it's from a trusted source.

If it's the same text I received recently, the big give away is that it's from an http site, and the site name itself isn't even close to anything you'd usually expect (NZ post etc).

I don't believe there's any way to scan and remove malware from ios as its near impossible for a non state sponsored malware to be installed on ios

Apple have built in mechanisms to alert you to potential state sponsored malware being detected so you should be good!
