I have a jailbroken 2.2 Firmware iPhone 3G. When I jailbroke it, Cydia and Installer were installed. When I try to add a source, it will say "error installing source" or something like that.

Any help...?

Hi there, can you please give us a few more details about your problem?

Are you trying to add sources to both apps and getting the same error?

Have you made sure that the sources/repos you are adding are specfically made for Cydia and likewise for Installer?

I am watching some YouTube video that say to enter a source into Cydia. I try it in both Cydia and Installer and getting the same error. Some sources work, but others don't.

Oh, so some sources work?

are you adding these sources and trying to refresh over Wifi or 3G?

another possiblity is that the actual sources are offline (understandable if its just 1 or 2 sources)

Here are some Cydia sources that don't work for me. Do they work for you?

yourrepository.com/starfreak010/
iphone.r4m0n.net/repos/

Oh, and when I enter a source and it checks it and some messages like "Bad URL" and "Sub-process bzip2 returned an error code (2)".
After that, the source either works or doesn't.
