My iPhone is pretty full so the app offload feature of IOS is useful to keep it operating but there are apps that I use occasionally when I'm out of coverage, such as flying or hiking, and it is too late at that point to realise they have been offloaded. Is there a way of prevent offloading of a few specific apps please?

I believe the only way is to disable automatic offloading and then manually offload the ones you don't want to keep.
