1st g when i go to installer then categories...then when i go under all packages there nothing there its blank

Hi,I'm not sure what's up with it being empty.... but do you have the option of adding 'Community Sources' under 'Sources' - that could help if it is available. I believe that the level of support for 'Installer' has dropped away & that more apps & sources are available via Cydia... do you have that available?I guess the method of Jailbreaking could account for what's on offer..... I used Quickpwn with a Mac on a 3G iPhone & found everything to work very smoothly, FWIW.

when i go under sources it haves a red "!" exclamation mark even on rip dev ....i have a video on youtube can you look at it to help pllllzzzzz

Hey - had a look at your vid... seems like you're trying to get updated installers without any wi-fi signal....is that right? As far as I know you need wi-fi to get the data. It also looks like you have an earlier version of Installer. The one on my 3G iPhone is v 4.0b11-4. Good to hear that Cydia is working OK. I don't think there's much going on in Installer-land, I'd suggest you stick to what's available on Cydia (lots!). Cheers.

yea i didnt have wi-fi then but even when i do it still dont work ....can i get summerbored with out it ....and so i have an old verion how do i get the newer version of installer ...thanks

OK...good to know that you tried it with wi-fi. Apart from Jailbreaking again I can't think of any other options. I know they have made improvements to the Pwnage Tool as time has gone by.... The app 'Winterboard' is available thru' Cydia & has very similar functionality to Summerboard - many, many themes & add ons available for it. Good luck.

i tried jailbreking it again same thing .....i jailbroke it with quickpwn....is that the same thing what you said Pwnage ....whould it make a differance if i jailbreak it with something else if thats possible so i could get the newew installer

Hi, sorry to hear it didn't help. Yes, Quickpwn is basically the same as Pwnage Tool. There are quite a few forums that cover the iPod Touch - some Googling might uncover something, but I'm out of ideas....
