So I'm thinking about getting myself a new phone, either the iPhone or a BB

Regarding the iPhone, I have a few questions:

Would the 250MB plan be enough for:

Checking emails 4-5 times daily
10-15 minutes browsing

Also,

-I've seen people here talk about 1GB plans but I haven't seen any on the VFNZ website, where should I be looking?
-Is the GPS usage additional? (i.e. its $10 a month on the BB)
-If a new iPhone is released, can I upgrade and keep my existing plan? (i.e. so I don't have to break the contract)
-If I sell it and decide to move to another device/platform, can I sell the contract as well?
-When I download content off the iTunes store, is it excluded from the monthly usage?
-Can I sync contacts with Windows Contacts or Contacts in Outlook 2007?
-Are roaming charges the same or more expensive on the iPhone?

1 i am on prepay and tend to use wifi .. $1 a day for 10 megs  I find I rarely need it cause of WIfi I think for the average user 250meg is plenty unless u download yotube type content emails and browsing does use stuff all
No Idea about GPS but i think it is just dataYou can usually upgrade but who knows till it happensI dont think the contract is sellable but you can break a conract after a certain time but there are penalties just contact VodafoneItunes stuff is data so yes it gets added onto to your data content. just use wifi on your pc or mac and sync it via cableYes Outlook and exchange etc contacts and calendar stuff will sync fine both waysRoaming charges are always killer  think they are the same... if i go overseas for a while it is better often to simply use wifi it is the best way or get a local sim card

Here are my thoughts for your questions:

1. I think it would be enough but it depends on what you are doing. I only use about 150MB each month and I visit YouTube, some web sites and check email most days.

2. The 1GB plans aren't up on the Vodafone site but I believe they are available if you go into a store.

3. GPS usage counts towards your monthly megabyte allowance (no extra fees).

4. I imagine you'd be able to use your SIM card on a new iPhone if one were released. You are still using your normal SIM card (mine went from a Motorola V6 Maxx straight into the iPhone) so don't see why you wouldn't be able to throw it straight into a new model.

5. Not sure if you could sell the device and the contract. You can certainly sell the iPhone but no idea about the contract.

6. iTunes usage also counts towards your monthly megabyte allowance.

7. Someone else will have to verify this, but I'm pretty sure you can sync contacts from Windows Contacts.

8. Roaming charges are the same. There's an option in the phone to turn off data when you're roaming to avoid nasty bills.

Hope this helps a little bit, sorry I can't answer all your questions with absolute certainty!!
