If I take a photo using my iPhone (current Pro Max) and then edit it, when I share it on iMessage etc it shares only the original unedited version.

I don’t want it to do that. However I can’t find a setting to make it send the edited version instead.

Anyone know how to do this?

Using the attachment option within iMessage, or the share sheet option from within the Photos app?  Depending on which one, try the other to see if it's the same.

Also, are you busy editing & then immediately sharing the photo?

Or are you editing the photo, then exiting the edit screen, thereby "saving your edits" & then sharing the photo?

Sorry, I don't regularly share photos via iMessage. Sharing via WhatsApp & MS Teams after taking the photo, editing it & then sharing it via the app shares the edits for me.
