Hi all, on my old iPhone 11 I had FaceID login to the Kiwibank app. Upgraded to a 15 and using FaceID for various things. When I try to enable it in the Kiwibank app it goes through the steps then at the 'Accept and Continue' point it says 'Sorry! Unable to register Face ID for login'.

Anyone seen that or know why?

Cheers

Do you have an autolock and require password immediately enabled on your new phone? Some banking apps insist on it before allowing touch/face ID login for security purposes.

I had to delete, reboot and reinstalled the app.

zocster: I had to delete, reboot and reinstalled the app.

That did the trick - thanks!

I wonder if you didn't de-register your previous device and that may be blocking this. However I haven't had to do that on my Android when I switched phones recently so might not be this.

Might be best to send Kiwibank a message -- they might be able to see from their end what the issue is.

I believe if I recall correctly that I had to give up and ring Kiwibank and they sorted it very quickly over the phone.

I had this issue, tried many things but in the end I had to cut my head off and install it on a spike in view of the face ID sensors of the old phone.

An annoying workaround but until Apple fix it I don't know what else to do.
