I’ve got an original Apple iPhone charger from Europe.
To avoid having to use a travel adapter, I’m keen on getting hold of an Aussiie/NZ plug.
I can however only find non-Apple branded options (unless I go for their full travel kit, which is unnecessary for me).
Where would I get hold of an original Apple one?
My apologies if it’s a daft question, but I’ve searched online with no luck.

How about buying one of these and, if it's not exactly what you need, move the plug module over to whatever charger you're wanting to use?

Is this for a short-term arrangement - while traveling or whatever - or an ongoing requirement?

Another option here, but I have no shopping history with this company.

Thanks. As I already have the main part, I only need the actual removable plug.

Bingo! It’s genuine! That’s exactly what I was after.
Thanks 😊

Where are you located ?  I have one going spare (plus full intl. kit) and only old kit that can use them.  It’s your for the cost of postage or pickup from Lower Hutt.

On further checking I have four cables with the apple adapter, 2 x NZ plug & 2 x UK plug plus 4 x UK plug adapters.  All need a new home rather than landfill.

You can use a figure 8 cable in place of a duckhead too.

If anyone is looking for one, I also have one of the original travel kits here in Auckland with all of the different duck heads. To be honest I don’t find them too great these days as they were originally released back in the days of iPhone 4/4s so they’re pretty slow chargers for modern phones with much larger batteries and fast charging.

Don’t really follow this. Unless travel kits have changed, the point of the Apple kit is that it gives you five different international duckheads that you just use with your current, modern charger/adapter. Just realised you may be talking about a non-Apple kit.

The issue is Apple don’t make power units with the duck heads for modern kit.  In fact they don’t provide PSUs with new iPhones at all.

Not true re duckhead, https://www.apple.com/nz/shop/product/MW2G3X/A/30w-usb-c-power-adapter

Are they good value? Probably not, i'd go Anker or something instead.

All the MacBook chargers still use them too.

No I'm talking about genuine. Apple haven't updated this SKU for ~10yrs so its only compatable with 10-12W chargers. Where as most modern chargers including the official Apple one are 20W+. You might be able to use it with the official Apple 35W dual USB C charger which is really bad value. Much better charging solutions in Anker, UGreen etc....

@Senecio My understanding has always been that the Travel Kit duckheads will work with any Apple charger adapter that has a removable duckhead.  The duckhead is a simple, passive module that’s only there to get the mains power from the wall socket into the adapter - in the same way that you can use a figure-8 cable in place of a duckhead.

So I checked on Apple’s website  and found:

“Use the Apple World Travel Adaptor Kit

To charge your device, attach the correct AC plug adaptor to your device’s power supply. The Apple World Travel Adaptor Kit works with any Apple USB, USB-C or MagSafe power adaptor that has a removable AC wall adaptor (also known as a duckhead).”

So not restricted to 10-12W chargers. Duckheads will work fully on all chargers that have removable duckheads - right up to 140W. Are we talking at cross-purposes?

I have got a couple of spare brand new duckheads if you're still needing one?

Just pay for postage.

Don’t understand why you would say that. If you look on the Apple Store website you’ll find that almost all of their power adapters have removable duckheads - right up to 140W.
