I have had the same issue. I seem to get round it by turning off wifi. connecting to Skygo using mobile data and then Airplaying. Once it connects then relink to Wifi. This never happened before.

I contacted Sky about this issue and their bizarre reply from their contact centre said" We acknowledge you are attempting to use the Skygo App on your Apple TV. Please be advised that the Sky Go App is not accessible on televisions. The App can only  be used on computers, smartphones and compatible devices. " This makes no sense and does not comprehend the issue - though I am not surprised by their contact centre's lack of knowledge

SkyGo airplays here.

I don’t have Sky, but can still use SkyGo for Sky Open programs. The Equaliser S03 is playing fine air playing from iPhone 12 to a TCL TV.

I updated to latest Sky Go version and still worked. Will not work if put into AirPlay mode from control centre before loading Sky Go, have to select airplay inside SkyGo.

This seems to be a Sky problem so let's keep it on the Sky thread https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=106&topicid=319220
