Someone might be interested in this guide, i havn't tried it yet

1. Use "maps offline"

2. Use "map this"

Apparently google might be preventing you from scraping large maps into a cache, can't recall exactly what i read, but it involved a user temporarly being blocked from accessing google maps.

if you get sucess please post!

i gave up, thought it seemed a bit complicated.
