Hello

I’ve got an iPhone that when you answer an incoming call, there’s a circa 7 second delay before the call connects - have swapped SIM cards to eliminate any network issue.

Apple rep did a network reset which seemed to resolve the issue for a day or 2 before it returned.

Just seeing if anyone else has had this issue/knows how to resolve.

Phone is a 3 week old 16e.

cheers!

@Aucklandjafa Zero chance it is a SIM card issue and the issue only started when you got the iPhone 16e?

If Yes so you know where the problem is back to Apple and request a replacement handset

Are you using VoWiFi (WiFi calling)?

Does it happen at home only, at office only, when connected to a Wi-Fi network?

Does it happen when out and about, when using the cellular network?

What mobile provider and what ISP are  you using?

I experienced this issue with VoWiFi enabled on two separate phones on the same network previously. The issue resolved itself after a while.

@boosacnoodle I have used 2degrees Wi-Fi calling since the day it launched back in late 2017 and never had an issue

You mention same network - Sounds more like a network issue than a Wi-Fi calling issue

To clarify my questions and to contradict @Linux.

For VoWiFi to work your router need to be setup with IPSEC passthrough. If you block this, it won't work, at all.

I experienced the sames as @Aucklandjafa with an Oppo phone, on 2degrees.

We traced some of the calls, and the Oppo wasn't responding on time during call setup. After about six to seven seconds a timeout would happen and the call would connect.

This was related to the handset firmware. That's why I asked about Wi-Fi, location, network.

issue happened with and without wifi calling - also occurs in various locations.

Both phone and ISP is Skinny - no other people on Spark with iPhones have had issues.

looking like it’s an isolated issue with the unit itself……

I'd look into the handset then.
