I dunno if this is affecting other phones. but someone said today that their 3G iPhone was swapping between Vodafone/Telecom/NZComs today ... The iPhone was on Auto Carrier (thats the default?)

So when they get less service than a certain amount it will switch to a stronger singal? or how does this work? are there any standards?

Reading on NZiphone.com someone else had the same problem as well and couldn't get it to stay on vodafone even forcing it..

Any ideas? anyone else seen this problem with other phones?

Thanks

Yep, had the exact same problem, 1st started after inserting a non voda sim card, after that it was alway searching, finally set the phone for 2g only put non voda sim card in, removed sim card while phone live, powered phone down, powered back up with no sim, then inserted the voda sim one boot complete and then reset apn settings, been fine since. I dont use auto setting, select the carrier 1st time
