Does anyone know if a 1st generation 2G Iphone that has been jail broken will work on the new Telecom network??

No, it won't work since it's a 2G phone only (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) and not 3G (WCDMA/HSDPA).

No, because Telecoms new network is 3G only.

Therefore a 2G only phone will simply not connect at all. Ever.
