Apologise if the answer to this is elsewhere but I can't find it. I have:
1_Googled
2_Tried PressF1
3_Visited two Telecom shops
4_Emailed Telecom
5_Visited one Vodafone shop

And still no conclusive answer to my question, "If I buy the NEW, yet to be relased in NZ, iPhone, will I be able to use it both on XT and VF at the same time?".

Simple question but I get such conflicting replies from all 5 of the above. Basically, none of them either know or don't read the question correctly.

So - I'm trying again on this forum. Does anyone have an answer and is 100% certain of their response please?

Basically, all I need is a 'Yes", or a "No". Along with a reason or three, so that I can understand why.

I see lots of posts from those who can use their iPhones on both networks but there is all this {I'll call it noise}, that includes, twin SIM cards in at the same time, APN's, geting it jailbroken, getting it unlocked, having to switch from one to the other to make a network live one at a time etc, etc. Plus, it's all related to the 2008 model, and not the yet to be relased in NZ model. I'm really confused.

OK  -supposing the answer is a 'No', then what would I need to do to make it a 'Yes'?

Thank you

'officially' no, but there are ways you can and have seen people with a 'switcher' adapter. who wants to go through all the trouble? not me.

No. You can't have the iPhone in two networks at the same time. It only accepts one SIM card at a time. There is no adapter for dual SIM.

First of all I would never use that due to the fact (someone correct me if Im wrong) that the iphone only has 1 sim reader in it on one side, how is it meant to read something that is on the opposite side to it.

Second of all you do not own your telecom sim card "This SIM remains the property of Telecom New Zealand Limited"

Have you watched that YouTube clip? That's a "dual SIM holder" . How would that work on a SIM card adapter that you to insert the card, not stick it? And the second thing, I wonder how thick it makes the SIM card - would it ever fit on the iPhone tight holder?

No, I don't think it's a solution...

I got a dual sim for the iphone 3g brought it in from germany was not cheap though $200
it comes with a modified dual sim adapter and a special sim tray so you dont use the original sim tray
you can choose either black or white sim tray when purchasing
