ive got my iphone working on the xt network fine, but i would like to install the carrier settings . I know that itunes 8.2 no longer lets you use ipcc files, but I am using itunes 8.0 and when I shift+update, it only lets me select ispw files and ipcc is not in the drop down list. Must I update to 8.1 to make this feature work?

Found out how to do it this morning.. :-) You can update to 8.2 now and use IPCC files.

See www.unlockit.co.nz :-) Close down itunes and type in...

Mac: (in a terminal)

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

Windows (with the quotes as well):

"%CommonProgramFiles%\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\defaults.exe write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE"
